Setting up a Business Facebook page can be pretty intimidating, especially if you’re not tech-savvy. But it doesn’t need to be difficult. Follow our tips below to smoothly set up your business Facebook page.

First, you’ll need to create your page. Go to facebook.com/pages/create. From there, you’ll need to select the page category. Assuming you’re a business owner, select “Business or Brand”.

Next, you’ll add your business name. And you’ll need to select a few words that describe your business (this further categorizes your page). For example, if you’re a general contractor, you can select words like “contractor”.

Next, you’ll need to add pictures to your page. Specifically, you’ll need to add a profile picture and a cover photo. A profile picture should be something that represents your business— it can be your business logo, a photo of your storefront/location, or something distinctive that will help people immediately identify your business. For the cover photo, you want a photo that accurately demonstrates your brand in an eye-catching way. This can be a custom-made graphic with your business name and info (showing your phone number, location, or email address), or it can be as simple as a group photo of your employees.

Add relevant business information. Be sure to add your contact details (phone number, address, and email address), hours of operation, and a short description of the business and what you offer.
